Monday Morning Photo. 15/1/08.

G'day all, the 1962 Queensland Government Railways Working Timetable tells me more about this shot than my memory does. What I do remember is that 1043 is on train no.26 southbound to Wallangarra where it connected through to the NSWGR and ultimately Sydney. The other train is its northbound counterpart, no.37.This was how a lot of people travelled. Richard Branson was just a lad and if you'd called an airline Virgin Blue the Vice Squad would be onto you like a ton of bricks.

The timetable tells me that this is Cambooya and that the time was about 1.20pm. I recall that it was a Saturday in December.

There may be someone on this group, initials KT, who remembers more than me.

Regards,

Peter Bruce.
